He congratulated the Prime Minister to help the country in attaining 7.6 per cent GDP growth in 2015-16, up from 7.2 per cent a year ago, as per a statement issued by the state government.
The Chief Minister said NDA government's step to increase state share of central taxes from 32 to 42 per cent has provided the extra fiscal space for the states to execute their own priority schemes.
He said that financial inclusion of economically weaker sections of the society through Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana also played a vital role in the rise of the economy.
"The NDA government sought investment in several industries, including manufacturing, construction, telecommunications and financial services and invited industrialists from across the world to invest in India and make it a manufacturing hub, giving a boost to jobs and growth," he said.
