"The so-called Parivatan Rally of Narendra Modi was a flop. The address by the Prime Minister was disappointing and directionless," Bihar PCC chief president Ashok Chaudhary said.
Chaudhary said the crowd at Bhagalpur rally was less compared to previous three political rallies of Modi held since July 25 at Muzaffarpur, Gaya and Saharsa. The enthusiasm in the gathering was also visibly less, he said.
The BPCC president pointed out that rallies by the prime minister were hampering developmental work across the country as several central ministers were paying attention to organising those instead of focusing on their work.
Chaudhary went on to add that the Rs 1.25 lakh crore package for Bihar announced by Modi last month had several discrepancies and the financial announcements made by him at today's rally were nothing new.

"Modi said at today's rally that Bihar will get Rs 3.75 lakh crore over the next five years as per the recommendations of the 14th Finance Commission. I want to ask what is new in it? Bihar has a right to it and it is going to get this much money by 2020," he added.
"Our rally at Gandhi Maidan was a historic one. Modi and other NDA leaders have become nervous after seeing the mammoth gathering of people in it. They have already accepted defeat in the coming assembly polls," Chaudhary said.
Elections to the 243-seat Bihar assembly is scheduled in October-November this year in which the secular alliance is pitted against BJP-led NDA.
