DMRC chief spokesperson Anuj Dayal replied in the affirmative on being asked whether the Prime Minister's presence was confirmed or not.
"Yes. It is confirmed," he said.
Till yesterday, metro had maintained that Modi was "expected" to inaugurate the 14-km long extension of the Violet Line (Line 6).
Delhi Metro chief Mangu Singh inspected the section to check its "final readiness" in this regard today.

The upcoming section, from Badarpur to the upcoming Escorts Mujesar station in Faridabad, is an extension of Line 6, trial runs to which were conducted in April.
The extension will cover nine stations namely Sarai, NHPC Chowk, Mewala Maharajpur, Sector 28, Badkal Mor, Old Faridabad, Neelam Chowk Ajronda, Bata Chowk and Escorts Mujesar.
According to official estimates, presently the average ridership on Line 6 stands at around 1.92 lakh per day. It is expected to go up by another 2 lakh with the launch of the extension.
DMRC had made its foray into Haryana five years when it enetered Gurgaon and with this project, the DMRC will further spread its operations in the neighbouring state.
