PM to visit UP, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand tomorrow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make a whirlwind tour of Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh and Uttarakhand tomorrow, addressing two political meetings and inaugurating the new terminal of Chandigarh airport besides attending some other events.
The first engagement will be an address at Sarsawa near Saharanpur in western Uttar Pradesh, official sources said.
"Will visit Chandigarh tomorrow, where I will inaugurate a housing scheme, new civil air terminal & attend convocation at PGIMER," Modi tweeted today.
"Will also be in Uttarakhand tomorrow. I will visit Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ashram in Rishikesh," he said in another tweet.
In Chandigarh, he will inaugurate the new airport terminal, a modern integrated 'glass and steel' building which is equipped with modern state-of-the-art equipment and passenger facilities.
The Rs 485-crore airport project will be operated and maintained by Chandigarh International Airport Limited (CHIAL). It is a joint venture of Airports Authority of India (AAI), governments of Punjab and Haryana.

The Prime Minister will also attend the 34th Convocation Ceremony of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, a PMO statement said.
Modi will also inaugurate a new housing scheme and address a public meeting at Sector-25 in Chandigarh, it added.
Subsequently, Modi will travel to Rishikesh in Uttarakhand where he will have one more political meeting, sources said.
In Rishikesh, he will also visit Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ashram and spend some time with Swami Dayanand Giri who is not keeping well.
