"A total of 14 students involved in the Pre-Medical Test (PMT) scam which took place in connivance with the MPPEB officials were arrested by the police from different places," Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Rakesh Gupta told reporters here today.
The drive (to nab the students) was launched on the directives of the Madhya Pradesh Police Headquarters (PHQ), Gupta said.
The parents of these students allegedly paid huge sums of money to agents and officials of Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) in lieu of getting their wards admitted in government medical colleges by adopting unfair means.
