PMT scam: Ex-MPPEB exam controller suspended

The Madhya Pradesh Governor has suspended former Director and Controller of Examinations of MP Professional Examination Board (PEB), Pankaj Trivedi in connection with the alleged Pre-Medical Test (PMT) scam.
Official sources said here today that the decision to suspend Trivedi was taken yesterday.
The move comes soon after his arrest by the Special Task Force (STF) of MP police in the scam, which involved dummy candidates appearing for the examination.
Trivedi, who is an Assistant Professor at the Government MLB College here will be attached to the office of the Regional Additional Director of Education.
His deputation to the PEB was cancelled after the scam came to light and he was shifted back to MLB College.
Trivedi is still in remand of STF which is interrogating him to get further information.

According to police, Trivedi allegedly colluded with different sets of racketeers involved in the scam during his tenure as the Controller of Examinations.
