Dr Hemant Kansal had earlier lodged a complaint at the Sanyogitaganj Police Station here, that a gang of fraudsters allegedly took Rs 13 lakh from him while assuring that his son would clear the PMT, Indore's Special Investigation Team (SIT) inspector Vinod Dixit said.
In this connection, the SIT nabbed gang member Praveen Rathod yesterday from Bahoripur in UP's Kannauj district, he said.
Last month, police had arrested three gang members - Umesh Srivastava, a resident of Chhattisgarh's Koriya district, and Seturam and Saurabh Kumar hailing from Bihar - in this connection, he said.

Meanwhile, a student who allegedly passed the PMT through fraudulent means was arrested yesterday, SIT additional superintendent of police Devendra Patidar said.
Jagatsingh Rawat, a resident of MP's Alirajpur district, failed in the PMT in 2007 and 2008. Later, he allegedly paid Rs 3.5 lakh to a gang in Gwalior and passed the examination in 2009 through an impersonator who took the test on his behalf, Patidar said.
On this basis, Rawat secured admission in Indore's Mahatama Gandhi Memorial Medical College. However, later, when the PMT scam came to light, the student was expelled, he said.
The dean of the MGM Medical College had registered a complaint in this connection with the Sanyogitaganj Police Station in 2011.
