The stock surged 7.27 per cent to settle at Rs 1,545 on BSE. During the day, it jumped 8.30 per cent to Rs 1,559.90.
At NSE, shares of the company went up sharply by 6.99 per cent to close at Rs 1,543.55.
PNB Housing Finance yesterday reported a 93 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 184.80 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal, mainly driven by robust earnings in core business.
Total income from operations rose by 38.2 per cent to Rs 1,192.27 crore during April-June quarter of 2017-18, as against Rs 862.87 crore in the same period last fiscal, PNB Housing Finance said in a regulatory filing.
