This was announced by Gangadhar Rath Foundation Trust here. The Foundation Trust has been giving away this prestigious award along with other literary awards for a over a decade now.
The Sahitya Bharati Samman given by the Trust every year to renowned persons in the field of Odia literature carries a cash prize of Rs one lakh, a filigree memento of Sun Temple of Konark and a citation.
The Samman would be conferred on the 70-year-old poet at a special function to be held at Saheed Bhawan here on March 9.
Similarly, renowned gynaecologist and poet Sarojini Sarangi would receive this year's Bhanuji Rao Samman and writer Debraj Lenka would receive this year's Binapani Mohanty Katha Sahitya Purashkar. Both these awrds given by the Foundation Trust carry cash prizes of Rs 25,000 each, informed the Trust President Jayant Rath.
Subrat Rath Smaraki Purashkar of the Trust would be shared between Smt Shaktiprava Mishra and Pitambar Tarai, Rath informed adding that both Mishra and Tarai shall be presented with cash prizes of Rs 10,000 each.
