PoK resident dies in Poonch

A 90-year-old resident of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir died at the residence of his nephew in the border district of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said here today.
Mohammad Shakoor, a resident of Hameedpur in PoK, passed away at the residence of his nephew Mohammad Hanief in Mendhar belt in Poonch last night.
Shakoor along with his son Mohammad Sajjad had arrived here on a cross-LoC bus via Chakan-Da-Bagh on Monday to meet his relatives.
He had crossed over to PoK from Poonch during the 1965 Indo-Pak war and settled there while rest of his relatives and family members stayed here.
Shakoor was very happy to meet his family members, relatives and villagers in his ancestral place.
Shakoor's body had been handed over to PoK authrories after the post mortem, the officials said.
