Poland is keen to foster greater business association with West Bengal, a top diplomat of the European nation said today.
Poland has formed a small working group with senior officials from different ministries of the country to explore business opportunities with the state, Ambassador of Poland to India Adam Burakowski said.
The group is expected to carry out a study of interest and come out with a report for the state government on the scope of mutual cooperation, he said on the sidelines of an interactive session with Merchants' Chamber of Commerce and Industry here.
A 50-member Polish delegation had attended the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in the city earlier this year. A delegation from the state is also likely to attend a major business event in Poland from May 14-16.
In 2017, bilateral trade between India and Poland stood at USD 3.1 billion.
