Police arrest 4 vehicle thieves

Police arrested four vehicle thieves Masuri area near Nahal Jhal in Ghaziabad today and recovered eight stolen bikes, a country-made pistol and three knives from them.
Naresh Kumar, Aash Mohammad, residents of Bulandshahr, Usman and Feeroz, residents of Ghaziabad were arrested on a tip-off, a police officer said.
"While checking vehicles, we suspected four persons who later turned out be vehicle-lifters and arrested them only after they confessed to their involvement in a number of vehicle-theft cases," the officer said.
"These vehicle-lifters used to steal cars and bikes from Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad. After stealing vehicles from these cities, they would sell them in other cities to avoid arrest," the officer said.

The accused are being interrogated about their accomplices, who would be arrested soon, he said.
