DCP Vasant Jadhav of the Ulhasnagar division who directed investigations told reporters at a press conference that the police is on the look out for some more people involved in the bank robbery, who would be caught soon.
He said that it was between February 14 and February 15, this year when gang members entered the bank by breaking open its locks, opened its strong room with a gas cutter and decamped with Rs 70.97 lakh in cash and 2088 gm of jewellery valued at Rs 73.08 lakh.
Some of the accused were nabbed when they were fleeing away in a luxury bus from Rajastan and their interrogation revealed their involvement in the crime.
