Police busted an illegal arms manufacturing unit in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district and one person was arrested on Thursday, an official said.
Six guns, two pistols, five gun barrels and 185 cartridges were seized, he said.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by SHO S M Gill raided a temporary cottage in the district's Tissa village which comes under the jurisdiction of Bhopa police station area, said Muzaffarnagar SSP Sudhir Kumar.
The police team nabbed one person, identified as Yamin, but his accomplice Babu fled from the spot, he said.
During interrogation, Yamin revealed that the illegal arms were to be supplied during the Lok Sabha polls, the official added.
