Police busts gang involved in counterfeit currency notes

Delhi Police today claimed to have busted a gang involved in pumping counterfeit currency with the arrest of two men and recovery of fake notes having face value of Rs 19,300 from them.
The two men, identified as Devinder Singh alias Lucky (27) and Lakshya Luthra alias Manu Luthra (19) were arrested yesterday, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Pushpendra Kumar said.
Police recovered fake currency notes with the face value of Rs 19,300, two printers, one monitor, one mobile phone, and one CPU from the accused.
"Following a tip off, our raiding party conducted a raid at around 3:15 PM and nabbed the above mentioned two persons and recovered 45 notes of Rs 100 denomination from their possession.
"Later on sustained interrogation, 148 notes of Rs 100 denomination, two printers, one CPU, one monitor and one mobile phone were also recovered on their instance," the DCP said.
