The robbers, numbering about 15, broke a grill and entered the house of the constable, Goutam Dutta, who was away in Murshidabad where he was posted and demanded the keys to the almirah at gunpoint on Thursday night, the sources said.
They locked up family members in the house and took away Rs 3000 in cash and some gold ornaments, they said.
