"Police is defending Naseemuddin, who raised derogatory slogans against my daughter and mother-in-law. Despite providing CDs to the police in which Naseemuddin is seen, POCSO has not been invoked against him," Swati Singh alleged.
Claiming that she was not given time to meet the Director General of Police (DGP) and the investigating officer was "not picking" her calls, Swati said, "It seems police is defending him."
"When FIR was lodged against Dayashankar, STF teams started raiding our residence. Why similar action is not being taken against BSP leaders," she asked, adding her as husband is in jail and law is taking its own course "BSP leaders should also be arrested."
Police has last week initiated proceedings to add certain sections of POCSO Act in the FIR against some BSP leaders for their alleged lewd remarks against Singh's family.

But the act was not invoked against Naseemuddin, with police stating that it was analysing the CDs. Swati had been demanding inclusion of POCSO Act sections against the BSP leaders who allegedly made derogatory comments against her 12-year-old daughter and mother-in-law.
"Sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act will be included in the FIR lodged on the complaint of Dayashankar's mother Tetra Devi on July 22," a senior police officer had said.
On the complaint of Dayashankar's mother an FIR was lodged against BSP supremo Mayawati, state BSP chief Ram Achal Rajbhar, national general secretary Naseemuddin Siddiqui and national secretary Mewalal besides some unknown workers.
