Police destroy 72 illegal stone crushers, arrest 5 persons

The Police today destroyed 72 illegal stone crushers during an operation against illegal crushing units in Gopi Bigaha and Jamuhar villages within the limits of Dehri-On-Sone police station in Bihar's Rohtas district.
Superintendent of Police M S Dhillon said five persons have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Those sent to jail were - Chandradeep Mahto, Shiv Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Upendra Kumar and Vijay Mandal, the SP said.
Besides, the police also seized seven vehicles including a JCB machines and other vehicles used to ferry stone chips from the illegal crushing units, he said.
FIRs would be lodged against the owners of illegal crushers, the SP said.
