Some of the phones were sent for forensic test while the rest were being examined by the Cyber Cell of the police in an effort to retrieve the messages exchanged between the persons through some social networks present at the time of the killing and were deleted afterwards, a senior Kolkata Police official said.
A particular WhatsApp group 'Panda 100' of which Aabesh and his friends were members was also looked into, a source in Lalbazar told PTI.
It was learnt that out of the 15 persons present at the party, a few have "deleted" some of their messages as well as their posts on a couple of social media forum, he said.
Besides the security guards present at the apartment at the time of the incident, police also called up veteran sports journalist and commentator Kishore Bhimani, a member of the apartment's association, for questioning today.
