Jharkhand police has felicitated additional public prosecutor S K Shukla for his commendable work that led conviction to 11 persons by a fast track court in a beef lynching case this year.
Ramgarh Superintendent of Police Nidhi Dwivedi said she handed over the felicitation letter, issued by Director General of Police D K Pandey to Shukla in her office here.
"I am happy that I performed my duties irrespective of caste, creed and religion," Shukla said.
A fast track court had convicted 11 of the 12 accused in a beef lynching case.
The 12th accused was a juvenile.
Shukla appeared during the trial in the fast track court of Om Prakash, which convicted 11 persons, who were later sentenced to life term imprisonment.
Alimuddin Ansari of village Manua in Ramgarh district was lynched by a mob for allegedly carrying beef in his vehicle on June 29, 2017 in Sanichar Bazaar locality of Ramgarh town.

All the 11 convicts were awarded life sentence by the fast track court on March 21 this year.
Later a division bench of the high court granted bail to 10 of the 11 convicts and one convict is behind bars.
