On the intervening night of May 13-14, a police party while on check-post duty at Rani Talab in Jammu intercepted the two trucks, a police officer said.
Upon search of the vehicles, police rescued 31 bovine animals which were being transported from Jammu to Srinagar without any permission, he said.
A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation is on, the officer said.
