Justice N Kirubakaran, expressed surprise over the Inspector Anbu Prakash, who attended the court in civil dress along with the police had not been arrested and brought to the court on the NBW issued by the court.
He ordered that the Inspector beformally arrested and produced before the court on August 28.
Pointing out that the FIR relating to the case was registered only yesterday, the judge wanted to know from the officials the reason for the delay.
Had the case had been registered properly there would not be any need for the SP to come the court, he said.

The Bench had issued a NBW against the Rajakkamangalam Police Inspector Anbu Prakash and ordered to arrest and produce him on August 11 after the hut of the petitioner Chellam, a widow, who was living in the hut with her mentally challenged son, was demolished when the dispute relating to the property was pending before the court.
The Judge pointed out that the petitioner had been seeking police protection.
Despite the Government Advocate claiming that he had sent a message, the Inspector did not turn up for hearing on the day.
