A notice has been issued to Congress leader and former MLA A Revanth Reddy seeking his appearance as part of investigations in a case relating to alleged irregularities committed by office-bearers of a Co-operative Housing Society in 2004, police said Wednesday.
"Notices were issued to Reddy and nine others three days ago seeking their appearance and explanation within 15 days. However, Reddy sought time for appearing before the police stating he is busy with preparations for the upcoming elections," a police official said.
The notice was issued under relevant sections of the CrPC.
A case was registered earlier with Jubilee Hills police station following a complaint alleging that Reddy, who was one of the members in the governing body of the society, had allotted plots "fraudulently."
