Police meet ahead of Panchayat polls

A meeting of top police officials was today held in which law and order situation in the district ahead of the Panchayat elections was reviewed.
A meeting was convened by Senior Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh who issued instructions to the officials to identify miscreants and hooligans in their respective areas.
District police chief Dharmendra Yadav said it was decided after taking cue from past experiences of petty skirmishes which often take ugly turns during panchayat elections.
All police officials have been instructed to be vigilant to avoid any untoward incident.
All criminals on bail and anti-social elements will be identified by the SHO concerned and will be asked to submit personal bonds for maintaining peace during elections, the official added.
