Police nabs robber

Police today caught a robber while his brother managed to escape by firing at the cops in the outer Delhi area early this morning.
The accused robber Amit Kumar, 35, was arrested from Dharmshala Road in Swaroop Nagar area of outer Delhi at around 4.45 am. His brother Pradeep managed to escape by firing at the cops, said DCP(Outer) Vikramjeet Singh.
Amit and his two brothers Pradeep and Sandip were involved in looting Rs 9 lakh from a rice trader on gunpoint on October 18 this year. They had looted the trader near Libaspur underpass and a case was registered in this connection at Samaypur police station.
Working on the case police caught one Mohan who admitted passing on the information about the trader to the accused brothers. Rs 38000 of the looted cash was also recovered from him on his arrest on October 25.
During interrogation he provided information about Amit, Pradeep and Sandeep.
Sandeep was arrested from Sector 19 in Rohini on November 21. Rs 175000 was recovered from him which was part of the cash looted from the trader.
