Police officer shot at by suspected militants

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far

Suspected militants today shot at and injured a police officer in Pattan area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

Sub-Inspector Ghulam Mustafa was shot at by two pistol-borne militants in a bus which was on its way to Pattan, injuring the police officer, they added.

The driver of the bus, took the injured to the local police post where the cops shifted their colleague to the hospital, he said.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, the official said adding the incident is being investigated.
