Police officers asked not to leave HQ without prior permission

In view of unfavourable weather conditions in different parts of the state, Jammu and Kashmir government has asked all Deputy Commissioners, District Superintendents of Police not to leave the headquarters without prior permission of the designated authority.
An official spokesperson today said the State Government has enjoined upon all DCs, DSPs not to leave the headquarters without prior permission of the designated authority.
In fresh instructions, the General Administration Department (GAD), while referring to the previous instructions circular dated December 20, 2013, has asked all the concerned authorities to comply with the directions, the spokesperson said.
The circular further directs the Divisional Commissioners and Inspector Generals of Police of the respective divisions and zones not to leave the headquarters without permission of the Chief Secretary.
However, the office of the Chief Minister shall be apprised accordingly, the spokesman said.
These directions have been passed in view of harsh climate and snowfall in various district of Jammu and Kashmir.
