Police officials booked for beating dalit colleague

Two police officials have been booked for allegedly thrashing and harassing a Dalit constable posted at the Police Lines here, SSP Ajay Mohan Sharma said today.
A case into the matter has been registered at the Kotwali police station, he said.
The victim had alleged that the two officials had demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh for clearance of his salary, and had beaten him.
