Police recover heroin worth Rs 10 crore, two arrested

Police today arrested two persons in the district and recovered two kgs of heroin worth Rs 10 crore from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Deputy Singh and Gursahib Singh, both residents of Tarn Taran district, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested the duo and seized the contraband and a Pakistani sim card from them.
The arrested were in contact with smugglers using the sim card from their village, situated close to the border, police said.
Investigations are on and a case has been registered in this connection.
