Police rescue abducted Delhi boy from Gwalior

A two-year-old boy from Delhi, who was kidnapped by four persons from outside a Gurudwara here on Sunday, was rescued by police after an encounter with his captors.
Amrit Singh was rescued from University area last evening after police swooped down on his abductors, who had demanded a ransom of Rs five lakh, following a tip-off, police said today.
The child was kidnapped on March 17 from outside a Gurudwara here by the gang led by Vicky Bansal alias Vijay Jatav, they said, adding that Amrit was visiting the place along with his parents Gurbachan Singh and Renuka Kaur, residents of Ashok Nagar in New Delhi.
The police team which went to rescue Amrit came under fire from the accused when it asked them to surrender, police said, adding the key accused Vicky sustained injuries on his leg when police returned the firing.
According to police, the abductors called on the mobile phone of Gurbachan Singh demanding a ransom of Rs five lakh for his son's release.
