The girl allegedly fled from here house on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday after a fight with one of her siblings, said a police official
The girl's father yesterday went to the Greater Kailash police station and reported that his daughter was missing. He told the police that she suspectedly left the house the previous night when all in the family were asleep.
A case was registered immediately, as the girl was a minor and her photographs were shared on a common forum with police in other states. However, the police were clueless until the girl's father received a call from an unknown number around 1 am today, said the official.
When the police called back, a man named Sahil picked up. He told the police that a girl, who he met at Bhatinda railway station, had borrowed his phone. But he could not see her anywhere near as he had already boarded a train, which was about to depart in a few minutes, said the official.

The police persuaded the man to leave the train, requesting him to find out the girl after communicating the whole matter, and the man agreed.
By 2.30 am, railway police officials at Bhatinda informed police here that the minor was safe and in their custody. Today, a Delhi Police team rushed to Bhatinda and the girl was brought back, said the official.
On being questioned, the girl told the police that she had fled from home on the intervening night between Sunday and Monday after a fight with her younger sister.
The 16-year-old, who has two sisters and a brother, has been sent home and Sahil, the good Samaritan, will be rewarded, police added.
