Police say no gunshot victims inside Wal-Mart in Texas

Police say there are no confirmed gunshot victims at a Wal-Mart in Amarillo, Texas, amid reports that an armed person was at the store.
The Amarillo Police Department released a statement today saying officers are now inside the store and that there is "no shooting ongoing at this moment." Police said earlier today that officers responded amid reports of an armed person inside who may have had hostages.
Police are urging residents to avoid the area. The city released a statement saying emergency officials were "on the scene of an active shooter incident" at the store and there was no immediate word of injuries.

Authorities didn't immediately say what may have prompted the incident in Amarillo, a city in the Texas Panhandle. Some nearby streets were closed as a precaution.
