Police solves murder case

Delhi Police today claimed to have solved the murder of a man with the arrest of his wife and her lover who killed him when he objected to their illicit relationship.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South West district R A Sanjeev said a police team arrested Arjun Ekka (26) from Sundergarh in Odisha for killing Babu Lal.
Babu Lal's wife Sumitra was also arrested from Delhi.
On the early morning of June 20, the police got information about a person Babu Lal having injuries on his neck lying unconscious infront of V-10 in Old Nangal. A police team went to the spot and found a male body and no eye witnesses.
Preliminary enquiry revealed that the body was shifted from the original place of murder as rigor mortis had set in, said the DCP.
An FIR was registered at Delhi Cantonment police station and investigation was launched.

Sumitra was thoroughly interrogated and she confessed involvement in the murder of her husband with the help of her lover Arjun Ekka. She was was arrested and a team was dispatched to Sundergarh in Odisha from where Arjun was also arrested, said the officer.
Sumitra had came to Delhi in search of job from Sundergarh and had married Babu Lal in 2009. Before marriage she had friendship with Arjun Ekka who belonged to the same area she came from, the DCP said.
Arjun also came to Delhi last year and started working as a security guard. He lived with the couple posing as Sumitra's relative.
His activities were suspected by Babu Lal and he objected to his wife's relationship with him and threw Arjun out of his home.
The duo then decided to eliminate Babu Lal. On the night of June 19, Sumitra called Arjun when Babu Lal was in an inebriated condition. Arjun killed him with her help.
They then dumped the body on the road, added the officer.
The murder weapon, a mobile phone and blood stained clothes were recovered by the police as evidences in the case.
