A video posted by a man on social media went viral yesterday purportedly showing an ambulance stuck near the barricade, while people were asking the police officials to let the ambulance go.
However, police maintained that the ambulance was not stopped for a long time.
"Facilitation of ambulance movement is the top priority. We have started an inquiry and what we have come to know is that a few minutes before a VIP movement, the traffic was stopped. The ambulance was towards the end and the cops only facilitated the movement of ambulance towards the front," said a senior police officer.
"Police gave priority to ambulance movement. We are looking if there was inadequacy but so far it has come to our notice that the ambulance was not stopped for more than three minutes," he stressed.
Police said they have not received any complaint till now and the video clipping on Facebook is the only thing they have.
