In a report submitted to the Home Ministry, police said the incident at St Alphonsa Church in Vasant Kunj, where unidentified persons broke into it and took away the ciborium after scattering the Holy Eucharist on the ground, was a "stray" incident.
Official sources said the report came following a directive of the Home Ministry after Monday morning's incident in the South Delhi locality.
There have been four earlier alleged attacks on churches in Delhi in the last two months.
Delhi Police in its report said that there was no particular "pattern" linking the five incidents and the incident at Vasant Kunj was just a "stray" case of theft.
