The clash between BJP workers and a section of lawyers outside the election office of party's Chief Ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi today reached a court here, which directed Delhi Police to probe into it.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sunil Beniwal of Karkardooma Court asked the concerned Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to look into the matter and file a report on February 5.
Regarding the injuries caused to three BJP workers allegedly by the lawyers during the clash, the court said, "let an independent opinion be taken from the government institutions or hospital with respect to nature of injuries".
"Matter being serious in nature, concerned ACP is directed to enquire the matter himself and file the report by February 5, 2015. Moreover, any form of electronic surveillance evidence shall also be collected as evidence," the court said.
The order came on an application filed by advocate Rajiv Khosla, President of Delhi High Court Bar Association, seeking court monitoring and fair investigation in the case in which an FIR has been registered against lawyers.
According to the police, the clash was between a group of BJP workers and a number of lawyers who were yesterday raising slogans against Bedi outside her campaign office.

It said the lawyers were opposed by BJP workers, resulting in a heated exchange of words which turned into a clash between the two sides and three persons were injured in the incident.
In their plea before the court, the lawyers submitted that some people were being projected as injured and victims of the incident allegedly done by the lawyers but it was a false concocted story. FIR has been falsely registered in order to defame the lawyers, it claimed.
It also said the injured persons got themselves examined at a private hospital allegedly belonging to a BJP supporter and sought constitution of a medical board to examine the injuries.
