Police unearths illegal arms factory in Alwar

Police today unearthed a factory of illegal arms and recovered 15 firearms and over 50 live cartridges in Rajasthan's Alwar district.
The raid was conducted in Butaki village early this morning in which around 50 motorcycles were also seized, Superintendent of Police Alwar Vikas Kumar told PTI.
"17 persons were detained and are being interrogated. Illegal firearms were being manufactured in the village houses. Large number of empty bullet shells, country made liquor were also recovered," he said.
It is suspected that the motorcycles were used in the trade of illegal arms and other criminal activities.
Documents of the motorcycles are being verified to ascertain whether they are stolen vehicles, he said.
