Policeman hurt during patrolling, 7 arrested

One policeman was today hurt during stone-pelting in Kirthal village in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh.
"A patrolling team was passing through Kirthal village in the Ramala police station area when they were suddenly pelted with stones from a house. One policeman was hit in the head in the incident," SP Laxmi Singh said.
Seven persons were arrested for allegedly being involved in the stone-pelting with police adding they had also recovered arms from the accused.
House-to-house searches have been launched in the village following the attack on the patrol, the SP said.
