According to the police, the incident took place at around 3.30 PM, when the injured, identified as assistant sub inspector Hemant, was working in the communication room.
It said that as the high-tension wire came in contact with one of the antennas installed at the terrace of police station, the computer blew off due to which Hemant sustained injuries.
"There is a high-tension power wire passing right above the police station. It seems the antenna installed on terrace came in contact with the live wire and it led to the spark," the police said, adding that due to the spark, a computer connected with the communication system blew off.
It said they are trying to ascertain the reasons behind the short circuit and the electricity department has been informed about the incident.
