Two persons including a policeman were today shot at by miscreants when they opposed their loot bid at a jewellery shop in Modh bazar here, police said.
Head constable Atmaram Pandey (50) and Shankar Halwai were injured when six people, who entered a jewellery shop opened fire at them after being challenged by the duo, they said.
The attackers, however, managed to flee with jewellery and other valuables, police said.
The injured have been rushed to the hospital, where their condition was stated to be out of danger.
Police has launched a manhunt to nabbed the miscreants, but no arrests have been made so far.
