The reporter of a local news channel was covering a protest by college girls near Rambagh circle when constable Sanjay hit him with baton while trying to restrict him from covering the event.
"After complaint, the constable was removed from Gandhi Nagar police station and sent to police lines. Later, he was suspended," Additional Commissioner of Police Biju George Joseph said.
"The matter is being probed and action will be taken against those found guilty," he said.
