Politcal parties hold demonstration

Several political parties and other organisations told held demonstration here against the reported remarks of Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh that the killing of Hizb Commander Burhan Wani was an "accident".
Shouting slogans against Singh and BJP for "supporting" terrorists and anti-national elements, Youth Congress workers trooped towards Tawi bridge and blocked traffic for half an hour.
Addressing a gathering PYC president Pranav Shagotra alleged that Singh has tried to "glorify" the dreaded terrorist by stating that his (Burhan Wani's) killing was an "accident".
The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (AG) under the leadership of its president Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally in Jammu city demanding a clear stand from the Central leadership of the BJP on the statements issued by the Deputy Chief Minister and Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir as both of them have issued a controversial statement on the death of Burhan Wani.

National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) workers led by NPSU State President Thakur Virender Singh held a demonstrations in Jammu demanding immediate dismissal of Jammu and Kashmir Government and imposition of Governor Rule in the interest of security of the Indian citizens in Jammu and Kashmir.
