"Notification have been issued for the 26 seats of the Lok Sabha. District collectors as returning officers issued notifications for all the seat separately," Joint Chief electoral officer of Gujarat, J B Trivedi said.
Apart from the Lok Sabha polls, by-elections will also be held on seven assembly seats in the state.
The election will be crucial for the BJP's prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi as his party is aspiring to win maximum seats from his home state to give a boost to his PM bid.
Both the main political parties are ready to launch a massive campaign in the state once the nomination papers are filed.
The last date of filing of nomination forms is April 9, while scrutiny will be done on April 10. The last date of withdrawal of nomination forms is April 12.
Polling will be held in Gujarat on April 30, while counting of votes will take place on May 16.
