Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi on Thursday hosted the 'At Home' reception at Raj Nivas here on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day.
Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, Speaker V P Sivakolundhu, PWD Minister A Namassivayam were among those who attended the reception hosted on the lawns of Raj Nivas here.
DMK legislator K Venkatesan, Director General of Police Balaji Srivastava, Chief Secretary Ashwani Kumar, high ranking officials, freedom fighters and delegates of different organisations also attended it.
Patriotic songs were presented at the venue by children of various schools and Lt Governor greeted the singers by presenting shawls to them.
