Misra said that the song 'Tilasmi', unlike any raunchy item number, is an integral part of the film and helps the storyline to develop further.
"I am doing an item number in 'Hum Baaja Baja Denge'. I got the offer couple of months before my stint in 'Bigg Boss 5'. When my director Chandraji saw me, he finalised me for it then and there and said 'You are my item girl'. I also liked it because it not raunchy at all," Pooja told PTI.
Having started her career in showbiz with a dance number in Shatrughan Sinha's wife Poonam produced "Mera Dil Leke Dekho" (2006), Pooja feels that item numbers have changed a lot over the period of time.
"Item numbers have become coveted now. Movie comes and goes but item numbers are remembered for ages. Today top actresses are doing item numbers. They are one of the main marketing tools and are frequently shown or played numbers on TV and radio," she said.
