Pooja performed in Rameswaram temple for Jaya's return as CM

Praying for AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa's return as Chief Minister, two Tamil Nadu ministers today organised a special pooja in the famous Lord Ramanathaswamy temple here today.
Temple officials said Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Dr S Sundararaj and Transport Minister Senthil Balaji organised the '1008 kalassa pooja' and abhisekam (celestial bath).
The Ministers said the special pooja was performed for Jayalalithaa's victory in her appeal in Karnataka High Court challenging her conviction in the disproportionate assets case and her becoming chief minister again.
The abhishekam was performed using honey, ghee, milk, sandalwood paste and tender coconut.
On the occasion, several AIADMK workers prayed for Jayalalithaa to become chief minister again.
On March 4, the star birthday of Jayalalithaa, a variety of prayers and yagnas were organised by party workers and ministers acorss the state seeking a long life and "return" of her as Chief Minister.
The Karnataka HIgh Court has reserved its orders on the appeal of Jayalalithaa challenging the conviction and four year jail term awarded by a special court in September last year in the assets case.
