Poppyseed, dry ginger ease on mounting of stocks

Poppyseed and dry ginger prices declined in the wholesale kirana market at national capital today due to sluggish demand amid increased arrivals.
Elsewhere, other kirana varities maintained overnight closing levels on some support.
Poppyseed turkey prices fell by Rs.5 to Rs.300-330 per kilo, poppyseed MP-Rajasthan and Kishmiri also eased by Rs.5 each to Rs.330-380 and Rs.330 per kilo.
Prices of dry ginger too remained under pressure and fell by Rs.500 at Rs.22,500-25,000 per quintal.
Following were today's quotations per quintal:
Ajwain 13,500-18,500, black pepper (per kg) 550-680, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,000-1,100 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,150-1,275.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 650-750, cardamom (colour robin) 600-700, cardamom bold 650-700, cardamom extra (bold) 800-900 and cloves (kg) 855-925.
