After the concert 'Standing for Nepal', santoor legend Pt Shiv Kumar Sharma, in the presence of percussionist Tanmoy Bose, said Rs 10 lakh cheque would be handed over to the Consulate office of Nepal the following day.
Supriyo said, "The tremor in Nepal was a devastating incident more since we Indians have a special place for the Himalayan country in our hearts.
"I don't recall how many times I had been there as an artiste and as a visitor. I also lent my voice to many Nepali films as playback singer. So when Tanmoy Bose sounded me for the concert, I immediately agreed," Supriyo said after the concert on Sunday night.
The popular singer rendered a devotional song as tribute to the presiding Pasupatinath deity of the Himalayan Kingdom and hoped the state will soon be rebuilt from the rubble.

The organisers wished to adopt quake-ravaged Bhaktapur (13 km from kathmandu) to help rebuild the heritage sites.
