Rana was previously the Head of Revenue at ScoopWhoop Media.
He will be responsible for the company's financials and new business development, leading the revenue and sales division, POPxo said in a statement.
"Now alongside growth, we are focussing on monetisation and getting to monthly breakeven," POPxo founder and CEO Priyanka Gill said.
With 15 years of experience, Rana has been associated with 9X Media, Time Warner Inc and STAR India among other firms.

To be based out of London in the UK, Foster will work on enhancing the HGS brand and driving growth in the region, HGS said in a statement.
He will also be a key member of HGS' Global Advisory Board and participate in corporate strategy, it added.
Foster has been previously associated with Merchants (customer management outsourcing company) and Dimension Data.
