Sushil Yadav, postmaster of Domani Kelejora post office, was going on his two-wheeler at Parira village on Domami road when four assailants in two motorbikes came and shot him from close range killing him on the spot.
Local people blocked the road and protested against the killing refusing the police take away the body.
Later senior police officers came to the spot and persuaded the agitators to lift the blockade and release the body.
Today's attack on Yadav followed the shooting and injuring of a businessman by assailants at Ranigunj in Asansol subdivision yesterday. PTI COR
